A celebratory physical high-five game made for the conclusion of Melbourne’s Global Game Jam 2013. The team collected audio snippets of every Melbourne jammer saying “Congratulations!” and created a game about giving high-fives.
A MaKey MaKey was used to detect the high-five. During a game, a player would be asked to hold a tin cup (wired to the MaKey MaKey) and then asked to high-five. Upon giving a high-five the MaKey MaKey circuit would close, triggering a random “Congratulations!” audio snippet from one of the jammers to be played.
The game was played at the end of the 2013 Global Game Jam and at the following IGDA Melbourne meetup.
